50 Ways to Create Your Own Job & Work From HomeWhen I started Real Ways to Earn, my focus was entirely on working at home for someone else. Just getting a job, getting paid weekly, and doing it all from home. The idea of "home business" was not intriguing to me at all. Like many others, I associated that with risk, spending money I didn't have, and no guarantees of any sort of income.
But then things changed. Real Ways to Earn, originally just a hobby, turned into a job for me. And now I'm my own boss, I work when I want to, and there is no real cap on my income. The harder I work at building and growing my blog, the more I can potentially earn. This made me finally understand how awesome it is to strike out on your own and not work for someone else. I realized this is what I prefer, and I haven't looked back.
However, running a home business doesn't mean you have to blog like I do. You can do all sorts of things and be your own boss and with some exceptions, it doesn't matter where you live or whether you've attended college.
This post has a list of 50 ways to create your own income from home, and each idea is linked to a helpful e-book or e-course to provide more info on getting started.
Don't get me wrong -- home business is still risky. And I understand that it isn't for everyone. Some people have zero interest in it, or aren't in a position to take a risk right now. If that's you, no worries! There are many new work at home job leads in this newsletter (scroll down to see them).

For the BloggersOne thing many new bloggers do (and something I also did when I first started Real Ways to Earn) is set up on a free blogging platform such as Blogger. It's easy, it's free. You can have a blog that looks pretty good set up in just a few minutes. So it makes sense. BUT, I ended up moving to self-hosted Wordpress.org after about eight months on Blogger and it was one of the best decisions I made early on for several reasons.
If you are currently blogging on Blogger.com or a similar freebie site and you want to blog professionally for an income, you may want to seriously consider moving.
In this post, I explain why I believe self-hosting is a better option for professional bloggers.
I'll be back in touch later this week with more jobs, blog updates, and helpful resources!

Good morning newsletter subscribers! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I'm back today with some work at home updates and many new remote job leads for you.
Work at Home Jobs Paying $12+ HourlyI made this list a while back and still like to share it occasionally. Every remote company on the list pays $12 hourly or MORE. This will be a helpful list of companies to look at if you are tired of work at home jobs that don't pay enough to rely on for more than just extra cash (there are definitely too many of those).
Check out the list here. And if you think $12+ hourly is not enough (for many people it's not), then check out this list with jobs paying $20+ hourly OR consider starting your own business from home (by far the route with the most earning potential, although also not as easy to start).
How to Earn Money Writing Romance NovelsI love to showcase people who are earning money on their own terms by doing something a little outside the box. Yuwanda Black is a successful self-published author, having written almost 100 e-books, half of which are romance novellas. In yesterday's blog post, she gave us a TON of detail on how she started, the income potential for romance novellas, and a little bit about what made her novels successful in a crowded genre. Note that she had NO experience writing fiction prior to getting started.
Yuwanda also has an e-course (currently $50 off through Sunday, March 25th) that goes more in depth on how it all works. You can also do her free course if you're curious about all this, but on the fence about investing in a paid course.

Getting Paid in Cash (or Free Books) to Review BooksThere are several websites that need book reviewers. If you're accepted as a reviewer, you could earn cash (the more attractive option) or get paid in free books (may be attractive to you if you're an avid reader).
While I don't think most people are making a living doing this, it may still be of interest to you as a side gig for extra cash if you love to read and know how to write a good review. Check out the list here.
Get Paid to Give Your Expert Advice With ZwerlThere is also a new post on the blog with info on being an "expert" with Zwerl. This is actually a chat-based, non-phone job. The company is not always hiring. Their openings tend to fill up fast when they have them. But if you'd like some more information on how it all works, what Zwerl pays, etc., then you'll want to check out our overview of their company.

Another idea for extra cash is to get paid to write app reviews. One site that pays people to do this is Apperwall. You can read about how that works here.
For the BloggersMost of the income I earn each month from blogging is through affiliate marketing. I earn another large chunk from advertising and just a little from my e-books. But affiliate marketing has proven to be the most profitable.
If you'd like to know, as a blogging newbie, which affiliate programs are best for new bloggers, then check out this high-quality guest post I received a few years ago that lists the top ten.
And if you want to learn more about how affiliate marketing works and how to do it so you can earn money with your blog (even with very little traffic), I highly recommend this e-course from Michelle at Making Sense of Cents. She regularly earns over $100K a MONTH with her blog. I took this course myself and did see a jump in my affiliate earnings afterward, so I can vouch for it being quality information. I also interviewed Michelle here a few years ago.
Good luck!

50 Weekly Paying Work at Home JobsI definitely understand needing the stability of a weekly paying work at home job. There are many, many companies that will only pay you once or twice a month. While you get your money one way or the other, it's still helpful when it comes to paying bills to have the cash coming in more regularly. So if you're someone who needs to see weekly pay, you can check out this big list I created of work at home companies (and some extra cash opportunities) that pay once per week or even more often.

Get Paid to Work Online, Teaching English To Chinese ChildrenThere are several companies aggressively looking for new online ESL teachers for Chinese children. This is a booming industry! It's flexible work that can pay well (I see most companies advertising between $15 and $20 or more hourly).
If you're interested in becoming an online English teacher, here are three companies have been actively hiring new teachers:

For the BloggersLast week, I shared some info on Elite Blog Academy -- a pretty pricey blogging e-course that I took and benefited from back in 2014. I realize that, because of the price, there are likely many of you who weren't able to enroll even though you may have wanted to do so.
If you're interested in investing in a blogging e-course to help you learn what you're doing, but Elite Blog Academy was a good bit too expensive, I'd recommend checking out the Blog By Number e-course, created by six-figure blogger Suzi Whitford. I've been through her resources and can vouch for them as being VERY quality for what you pay (currently $97).
Good luck!

47 Work at Home Jobs Paying At Least $10 HourlyWhile I realize that $10 an hour is definitely on the lower side, or a good bit less than what most of you really need to earn, I still wanted to share this post with you. There are 47 legitimate companies listed, and they are broken down by phone/non-phone so you can focus on which type you want. Good luck if you apply for anything!

Pinecone Research used to be so elusive that you couldn't even sign up unless you happened to spot one of their banners on the web. I would look for them like crazy back when survey taking for extra cash was one of my main hobbies (around 2007-2008). Luckily, it's not as hard to sign up with them now, although you do have to meet whatever demographic they happen to be looking for, which changes. You can go here to sign up and see if you get in. They pay $3 per survey taken and pay comes very quickly (usually within 1-2 business days) after each survey you complete. I have tested products for pay for this company also.
For the BloggersI thought some of you may appreciate this -- Ten Things I've Learned in Five Years of Blogging. While this year will actually make eight years of blogging for me and I've learned quite a bit more since I wrote this, I still think this is a good one to share. It's not so much blogging tips as it is "truths" about blogging (some good and some not so good). Kind of more personal than instructional. In this post, I talk briefly about things like dealing negativity from strangers, plagiarism coming from other bloggers, income potential, and more.
Enjoy!

Good luck!

Good morning newsletter subscribers! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I'm back today with some work at home updates and many new remote job leads for you.
Read more about them here.

So if you're someone who needs to see weekly pay, you can check out this big list I created of work at home companies (and some extra cash opportunities) that pay once per week or even more often.

Good luck!

Enjoy!
